The present invention relates to a method to protect, in a secured container (SC) using an encryption key (EK), a set of mixed sensitive and public data (Ti.Li.Vi or Li.Vi) to be transferred to an entity, said method comprising the steps of:
- generating a random key (RK),
- ciphering the set of mixed sensitive and public data (Ti.Li.Vi or Li.Vi) using said random key (RK) to obtain a ciphered set of data (CDB),
- generating an initialization value (IV) specific to the container,
- defining configuration information (CI) for the secured container (SC),
- said initialization value (IV), said configuration information (CI) and random key (RK) forming a preamble (P), encrypting the preamble (P) and the ciphered set of data (CDB), wherein said initialization value is placed at the beginning of the data to be encrypted, thereby rendering the resulting encrypted data variable from a secured container to another even in case of repetitive configuration information (CI) in the preamble. |
