<p>A safety razor having a handle and a blade unit (2) for contact with the body of the user, wherein an electrical device, and a control device (16) for controlling operation of the electrical device are provided, the control device being proximity or touch sensitive and including a sensor element, such as an electrode formed by a blade (4) of the blade unit (2), so that the electrical device is actuated in response to a person using the safety razor moving the blade unit into close proximity to or into contact with the body area to be shaved. The electrical device comprises a dispensing device actuable to deliver a shaving enhancement product to the blade unit and/or a conditioning device actuale for acting on the skin to be shaved and/or the hairs to be cut.</p> |
