1. A method of reading information from magnetic storage media, comprising:
positioning a read-head over a magnetic storage media, said magnetic storage media comprising a plurality of nanotubes that each contain a magnetic nanoparticle, said read-head comprising a cantilevered piezoelectric nanostructure having a probe end; deflecting said probe end with a magnetic polarization of a first magnetic nanoparticle contained within said magnetic storage media; generating a piezoelectric response in the cantilevered piezoelectric nanostructure by the deflection of the probe end; and determining the magnetic polarization of the first magnetic nanoparticle contained within said magnetic storage media by measuring the piezoelectric response of the cantilevered piezoelectric nanostructure. |
