摘要 A squeegee for a windshield wiper assembly includes a body having a first pair of cut-out portions on opposite sides thereof. Each of said first pair of cut-out portions receives a leaf spring element of a windshield wiper assembly therein. A blade for contacting a windshield of a vehicle is connected to the body. A spoiler is connected to a top of the body and has a generally triangular shape. The spoiler includes a hole formed therethrough in a longitudinal direction of the squeegee. The hole increases the flexibility of the spoiler so that the spoiler flexes when subjected to a wind force.

A squeegee for a windshield wiper assembly, comprising: a body, said body including a first pair of cut-out portions on opposite sides thereof, each of said first pair of cut-out portions configured to receive a respective one of a pair of leaf spring elements of a windshield wiper assembly therein, a second pair of cut-out portions on opposite sides thereof, each of said second pair of cut-out portions configured to receive a respective portion of a bracket of the windshield wiper assembly, and a third pair of cut-out portions on opposite sides thereof, wherein the second pair of cut-out portions is located between the first pair of cut-out portions and the third pair of cut-out portions, and a portion of the body disposed between the second pair of cut-out portions is thicker than a portion of the body disposed between the first pair of cut-out portions, and wherein a first pair of extending portions of the body is disposed on opposite sides thereof between the first and second pairs of cut-out portions, and a second pair of extending portions of the body is disposed on opposite sides thereof between the second and third pairs of cut-out portions; a blade for contacting a windshield of a vehicle, the blade including a tip and a first pair of lateral extending portions; a hinge element connecting said blade to said body, the hinge element being rounded to bulge outward on opposing sides thereof to provide a substantially circular portion; and a spoiler portion including a tip and a second pair of lateral extending portions, wherein the body, the blade, and the spoiler portion are formed as a single piece, the first pair of cut-out portions is one that is most distal the blade of the cut-out portions, a length of the first pair of extending portions is substantially equal to a length of the second pair of lateral extending portions and greater than a length of the second pair of extending portions, and the length of the second pair of extending portions is greater than a length of the first pair of lateral extending portions, the blade, outer points of the first pair of lateral extending portions on opposite sides of the body, outer points of the second pair of extending portions on opposite sides of the body, and outer points of the first pair of extending portions on opposite sides of the body, respectively are positioned along straight lines, so that they outline a V, a first difference between the length of the first pair of extending portions and the length of the second pair of extending portions is substantially equal to a second difference between the length of the second pair of extending portions and the length of the first pair of lateral extending portions, the spoiler portion further includes a pair of concave portions that are symmetric about an axis of the squeegee defined by the tip of the blade and the tip of the spoiler portion, the spoiler portion is connected to a top of said body and has a generally triangular shape with the tip at an end most distal the blade, and said spoiler portion further includes a hole formed therethrough in a longitudinal direction of the squeegee, and said hole is generally triangular, a windward side of the spoiler portion is configured to flex against a change of wind force and generate a corresponding change in a shape of the spoiler portion against the wind force, the change in the shape of the spoiler portion corresponding to a change in a downward force of the squeegee when in contact with a windshield of a vehicle, the second extending portions including lower surfaces that are convex, and the first lateral extending portions including upper surfaces that are convex so as to project toward the lower surfaces of the second extending portions.
