The invention relates to a fuel system (4) for a combustion engine (2), which system (4) comprises a fuel filter device (24) situated between a low-pressure pump (22) operated by electric motor and a high-pressure pump (26), which device (24) comprises a filter housing (46) in which a filter element (32) and, integrated therewith, an accumulator (34) for damping pressure fluctuations in the fuel system (4) are situated. The fuel filter device (24) is provided with an electrically operable valve (36) for controlling the accumulator (34). The invention relates also to a combustion engine (2) with such a fuel system (4), a vehicle (1 ) with such a fuel system (4) and a method for damping pressure fluctuations in a fuel system (4). |
