1. A method for lighting a flight deck on an aircraft, comprising:
identifying, by a processor unit, a status of the aircraft; and controlling, by the processor unit, an ambient lighting device on the flight deck in response to the status of the aircraft to indicate the status of the aircraft, the ambient lighting device configured to provide, such that in operation the ambient lighting device provides, ambient lighting as one component of an ambient light on the flight deck, wherein controlling the ambient lighting device on the flight deck comprises controlling a spot light and illuminating at least one of: a selected area, and a number of displays on the flight deck, the number of displays are displaying information regarding the status of the number of systems. |
