<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sequentially acquire guidance information according to a hierarchy of a predetermined character string in response to the input of a character string for describing a source program, and to display only the necessary guidance information according to a character string input situation.SOLUTION: A data processing system generates an input character string by connecting characters input from an input device for software description; divides the input character string to correspond to hierarchies of the number of hierarchies to acquire hierarchical character strings and hierarchical numbers on the basis of the number of hierarchies separated by a member access operator indicating an access to a structure or to a class member for the generated input character string; and searches a corresponding hierarchy in the hierarchical database with the hierarchical character string as a search key for each of the acquired hierarchical numbers. Guidance information searched from the hierarchical database as well as the input character string is displayed on a display while making the guidance information correspond to the hierarchical character string of the hierarchical number, or a hard copy of the guidance information as well as the input character string is formed by a printer or the like.</p> |
