<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiver which suppresses control load of a controller from increasing, and can release encryption irrespective of limitation of the number of broadcast data when hardware releases encryption.SOLUTION: A broadcast receiver 100 comprises: tuners 13a, 13b, and 13c which can receive a plurality of pieces of broadcast data of the digital broadcasting on which encryption processing is performed; a hardware release unit 10 including the B-CAS card 10a by which a scramble key to release the encryption of the broadcast data is obtained; a software release unit 11 including software by which the scramble key to release the encryption of the broadcast data is obtained; and a controller 12 which controls releasing the encryption of the broadcast data by use of the scramble key. The controller 12 releases the encryption of the broadcast data by switching between the hardware release unit 10 and the software release unit 11 on the basis of a magnitude of a control load on the controller 12.</p> |
