<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a silicone-based soft ocular lens having a stable hydrophilic surface, which does not influence a lens shape compared to conventional methods.SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a silicone-based soft ocular lens having a hydrophilic surface includes the steps of: (1) obtaining a silicone-based soft ocular lens having a semi-interpenetrating network structure by subjecting a pre-polymerization liquid comprising at least (i) a silicone-containing monomer, (ii) a crosslinking agent, (iii) an ionic linear polymer having no polymerizable group, and (iv) a hydrophilic monomer having at least one or more hydrophilic group and a (meth)acryloyl group or a vinyl group in the molecule, to a polymerization reaction in an ocular lens mold; (2) obtaining a silicone-based soft ocular lens having a charged ionic linear polymer by charging the ionic linear polymer in the above silicone-based soft ocular lens; and (3) obtaining a silicone-based soft ocular lens having a hydrophilic surface by bringing the silicone-based soft ocular lens having the charged ionic linear polymer into contact with (v) a hydrophilic polymer having charges in the opposite polarity to that of charges of the above ionic linear polymer.</p> |
