<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce degradation in the detection accuracy of external magnetic field due to variation in the azimuth of magnetization of a pinned layer.SOLUTION: A magnetic sensor 1 includes a first magnetoresistance effect element 10a and a second magnetoresistance effect element 10b, each having a lamination including a pinned layer and a free layer. In the first magnetoresistance effect element 10a, the orientation of magnetization of the free layer when there is no external magnetic field is a specific orientation (+Y orientation). The second magnetoresistance effect element 10b is arranged contiguously to the first magnetoresistance effect element 10a, and the orientation of magnetization of the free layer when there is no external magnetic field is an orientation (-Y orientation) having a component in the opposite direction from the specific orientation.</p> |
