PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a communication load between a terminal and a server when the terminal obtains data stored in the server device.SOLUTION: An image forming device 10 transmits an image file generated by reading out manuscript to a service providing device 30 via a relay device 20, and generates a duplicate of the image file to store it in a duplicate storage region. When the relay device 20 receives an acquisition request for the image file from a terminal device 40, the relay device 20 determines whether the terminal device 40 and the image forming device 10 which is the transmission source of the image file, are on the same sub-network or not. If the terminal device 40 and the image forming device 10 are on the same sub-network, the image file is not downloaded from the service providing device 30 but the duplicate file stored in the image forming device 10 is transmitted to the terminal device 40.
