<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position sensing device capable of detecting a position of a mobile object over a wide detection range.SOLUTION: A position sensing device 2 includes an excitation coil 3 and first specific range angle sensing coils 4 capable of sensing an angle of a metallic rotor 6 in every 72° cycle. The position sensing device 2 also includes second specific range angle sensing coils 5 capable of sensing the angle of the metallic rotor 6 in every 60° cycle. The position sensing device 2 computes the angle of the metallic rotor 6 on the basis of output from the first specific range angle sensing coils 4 and output from the second specific range angle sensing coils 5.</p> |
