PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling bearing unit which can reduce an outside diameter of a pilot part, and can suppress an increase of a manufacturing cost and the lowering of durability.SOLUTION: A rolling bearing unit comprises: a cylindrical outer ring member which can rotate with a rotation axis as a center; an inner ring member arranged inside the outer ring member; rolling bodies arranged between the outer ring member and the inner ring member; and a cylindrical pilot part being one end of the outer ring member in a rotation axial direction. The outer ring member has: two outer ring raceways being internal peripheral faces arranged in different positions in the rotation axial direction, and also being internal peripheral faces contacting with the rolling bodies; a groove shoulder part which protrudes to the inside from an internal peripheral face of the outer ring member in a position between the two outer ring raceways; and an inclined part being an internal peripheral face whose inside diameter is gradually decreased toward an internal peripheral face of the pilot part from the outer ring raceway at a side near the pilot part out of the outer ring raceways. An inside diameter of the groove shoulder part is larger than the inside diameter of the pilot part, and an outside diameter of the pilot part is larger than the inside diameter of the groove shoulder part. |
