PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a material cost of a grounding member.SOLUTION: A noise filter includes: a box-shaped member 12 of synthetic resin having an opening portion 15; a grounding member 40 of metal having a plate-shaped body part 41 disposed so as to close the opening portion 15 and a connection part 44 in the form of projecting into the box-shaped member 12 from the plate-shaped body part 41; a capacitor 50 housed in the box-shaped member 12; a lead wire 52R provided in the capacitor 50 and connected to the connection part 44 by welding in the box-shaped member 12; and a notch part 47 formed in the plate-shaped body part 41 to expose the weld zone of the connection part 44 and the lead wire 52R out from the box-shaped member.
