PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a cell stack excellent in appearance of a coating film and in light transmittance.SOLUTION: A cell stack manufacturing method includes: a first step of applying a coating composition containing a component (A) that is a metal oxide at a number-average particle diameter of 1 nm to 400 nm, a component (B) that is polymer emulsion particles at a number-average particle diameter of 10 nm to 800 nm, and at least one type of a solvent, on at least one side of a base material, so as to form a coating composition layer; a second step of drying the coating composition layer under an environment of 5 to 40°C, so as to set a solid content in the coating composition layer to 2 to 40 mass%; and a third step of drying the coating composition layer under an environment of a temperature equal to or higher than a boiling point of the solvent lowest in boiling point among the solvents. |
