<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a device and a method for discriminating a stroke of an internal combustion engine, which can execute stroke discrimination with high accuracy regardless of an accelerator opening.SOLUTION: The device for discriminating a stroke of an internal combustion engine is provided for discriminating strokes of cylinders of the internal combustion engine. The device for discriminating a stroke comprises: electronic throttles which are provided in intake pipes corresponding to the cylinders and adjust intake air amounts to the cylinders by throttle openings; a throttle opening control part controlling the throttle openings of the electronic throttles; a phase detection part detecting a phase of a crankshaft of the internal combustion engine; an intake pressure detection part detecting intake pressures of the cylinders downstream of the electronic throttles; and a stroke discrimination part discriminating the strokes of the cylinders on the basis of the phase of the crankshaft and the intake pressures of the cylinders. The throttle opening control part fixes the throttle openings at a predetermined stroke discrimination execution opening during the time when stroke discrimination is executed by the stroke discrimination part.</p> |
