<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output highly accurate information regarding a measurement error of color caused by an angle of view of an imaging optical system.SOLUTION: An image reading apparatus 10 comprises imaging optical systems 15R, 15G, 15B which image light made incident from an imaging area T of a sheet-like medium S on which an image is formed. The image reading apparatus 10 converts image data in which a hue value is described in an RGB color space, which the imaging optical systems 15R, 15G, 15B obtained by imaging the light, into a CIELAB color space, and measures a hue value of a position (measuring point) on an image in the imaging area T. The image reading apparatus 10, corresponding to the measured hue value and a relative position of a measuring point of chroma with respect to optical axes of the imaging optical systems 15R, 15G, 15B, creates error information showing an error included in the hue value, associates the created error information with the hue value, and outputs the information as colorimetric data. Regarding the error information, the farther the measuring point from the optical axis or the higher the chroma indicated by the hue value, the larger the error is shown, for example.</p> |
