<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a travel position detection system of a railway vehicle capable of specifying a curve section most recently passed by the railway vehicle and detecting a travel position of the own vehicle even if the shape of the curve section most recently passed is similar to the shape of any curve section among all curve sections passable by the railway vehicle.SOLUTION: A passing curve information preparation section 40 prepares a passing curve information R including an actual measurement value such as an actual measurement curvature radius every time a railway vehicle passes a curve section. A candidate curve information group preparation section 50A prepares each candidate curve information group G to be a collection of candidate curve information K corresponding to all passable curve sections. A coincidence rate arithmetic section 60 calculates an integrated coincidence rate J, which shows the degree of the coincidence, of the most recent passing curve information and the passing curve information earlier than the most recent passing curve information with respect to each candidate curve information group G within the range of 0 to 1. A curve specification section 70 specifies a curve section most recently passed by comparing each integrated coincidence rate J calculated for each candidate curve information group G.</p> |
