<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an excellent halftone processing result by properly correcting screen processing (systematic dither method) by a simple method.SOLUTION: There is provided an image processing device including: an edge detection part 101 which detects an edge from input image data and outputs determination data indicative of whether a pixel of interest is a pixel of an edge part; a gamma conversion processing part 102; a screen processing part 103; a selection part 104 which selectively outputs one of gamma conversion image data and screen image data according to the determination data; a first in-cell total calculation part 105 which sums up selection data by cells so as to calculate a first in-cell total value; a second in-cell total calculation part 106 which sums up the input image data by cells so as to calculate a second in-cell total value; a subtraction part 107 which outputs difference data; and a normalization part 108 which calculates a correction amount for each pixel from the difference data. A correction amount (absolute value) of the edge part is smaller than a correction amount (absolute value) of a non-edge part.</p> |
