The present invention relates to a rear wheel driving device for a four wheel drive electric vehicle which transfers driving power to rear wheels using a disconnector-type clutch, not a multi-plate clutch to entirely prevent driving power loss from slips between friction plates inside a multi-plate clutch, simplify the structure by transferring the driving power to a single rear wheel driving axle, and reduce a length in the axial direction by installing the disconnector-type clutch above a motor. The rear wheel driving device comprises: a rear wheel driving motor to generate rotational power to drive a vehicle; a decelerator to receive driving power from the rear wheel driving motor; a differential device connected to the decelerator; a rear wheel driving axle whose one end is mounted to the differential device; a first constant velocity joint shaft connected to the other end of the rear wheel driving axle; a hub installed on an outer circumferential surface of the first constant velocity joint shaft; a second constant velocity joint shaft installed on the rear wheel driving axle to face the differential device; and a disconnector-type clutch to connect or disconnect the first constant velocity joint shaft and the rear wheel driving axle. |
