SILICON CARBAIDE POWDER AND METHOD OF PRODUCING SILICON CARBAIDE

A method for manufacturing silicon carbide comprises the steps of: preparing a mixed raw material by mixing solid silicon (Si), solid carbon (C), and solid alpha silicon carbide (SiC); and thermal treating the mixed raw material. The silicon carbide is obtained by the thermal treatment, and the obtained silicon carbide contains alpha particles and beta particles, which has a bimodal distribution showing peaks at a first peak granularity and a second peak granularity, respectively.
