PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preservation method where a modified EVOH resin pellet that an aliphatic polyester is grafted does not coalesce during preservation.SOLUTION: A modified EVOH resin pellet that a ring-opening polymerizable compound such as an aliphatic polyester, for exampleε-caprolactones, is grafted is preserved under an environment satisfying equation: Y<-2.2X+130 and prevented from coalescence during the preservation of the modified EVOH resin pellet where, the preservation temperature of the modified EVOH resin pellet is X (°C); preservation humidity is Y (%RH); and the glass transition point of a modified EVOH resin is 10-50°C.
