PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment method of radioactive waste, which can efficiently convert sludge containing radionuclides in high concentration into a solidified substance excellent in safety by using a general heating furnace.SOLUTION: A treatment method of radioactive waste includes a process of making dry sludge by removing water from sludge which is generated at a treatment facility of radioactive contaminated water and which contains radionuclides in high concentration, and a process of vitrifying the dry sludge by adding a melting agent made of glass materials including sodium and applying the heat of a melting temperature of 1100°C or lower to the dry sludge. |
