PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hermetic type compressor enabled to separate refrigerant gas highly efficiently from the lubricating oil, even with a stationary piece, so that a compression function can be enhanced to contribute to an improvement in the cooling performance in a refrigeration system.SOLUTION: A hermetic type compressor sucks up a lubricating oil 2 by the viscous pump action of a viscous pump 16a, which is composed of a hollow sleeve 19 accompanying the rotation of a crankshaft 12 and a stationary piece 21, to separate a liquid and a gas (a coolant gas) including a mist state, containing a mist state. When the liquid is fed via a communication hole 17 whereas the gas is fed via a gas hole 29 to the upper portion of a compression element, the separation chamber 18 has a capacity increased so that a liquid to be reserved in the chamber as the lubricant oil 2 is sucked by the viscous pump action of the case, in which the compressor rotation number is higher than the ordinary one, may not overflow to the side of the gas hole 29, and the liquid is dammed up and suppressed from flowing to the side of the gas hole 29 by the individual walls of dams (i.e., a large dam 33a and a small dam 33b) disposed in an upper portion of a room. |
