PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of electrostatic offset without causing an increase in cost.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus according to the present invention includes: an image carrier 7; a developer container 9 that includes a container body 21 accommodating a one-component developer and a discharge member 23 discharging the one-component developer from the container body 21; a developing unit 10 that uses the one-component developer discharged from the container body 21 to develop electrostatic latent images on the image carrier 7; a fixing device 16 that includes a heat source 40, a heating member 32 heated by the heat source 40, and a pressure member 33 brought into pressure contact with the heating member 32 to form a fixing nip 42; and a single driving source that rotates the discharge member 23, heating member 32, and pressure member 33; and fills the developing unit 10 with the one-component developer from the developer container 9 while the heating member 32 and the pressure member 33 are separated from each other in the initial setting. |
