An embodiment of the present invention relates to a machine tool comprising: a column; a transfer device including a transfer motor for providing information on rotation to be installed on the column; a saddle which is supported in the column to be slid and is linearly moved back and forth by the transfer device; a spindle supported in the saddle; a linear scale installed between the column and the saddle; a scale scanning device which is installed on the saddle to be moved with the saddle and surveys a position by scanning the linear scale; and a control part to calculate the bending deformation level of the column caused by heat by comparing the position value from the rotation information provided by the transfer motor with the position value surveyed by the scale scanning device.
