According to an embodiment of the present invention, a device and a method for controlling performance of software are provided. The device collects unique information on a terminal, provides the collected unique information to a license issuing device, and receives the license information generated based on the unique information. Then, when a request for performing pre-installed software is recognized, the device determines if corresponding software may be performed based on stored license information. Based on a determination result, the software is controlled to be performed. |
