PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor controller capable of rapidly stopping a motor when a failure is detected in a power converter circuit, as compared to conventional ones.SOLUTION: An HV-ECU, when determining a failure detection signal showing detection of an inverter failure to have been received from a MG-ECU (step S11), turns off a main relay (step S12) and turns off each switching element constituting an inverter (step S13) and electrically blocks a smoothing capacitor from a motor generator. |
