<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect breaking of the cable of a liquid detection sensor with no deterioration in maintainability and increase in cost.SOLUTION: A liquid detection device includes: two electrodes disposed in a liquid tank; two cables whose one end is connected with the electrodes, respectively; and a controller connected with the other end of the two cables via respective connection terminals, and detects the presence of a liquid in the liquid tank using a change in impedance between the connection terminals. A stray capacitance section connected with an arbitration point between the two electrodes and respective connection terminals and composed of electric cables is provided. The controller detects breaking of a cable by a change in a stray capacitance and a synthetic capacitance between two cables.</p> |
