<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive piston ring of an internal combustion engine reducing a leakage amount of blow-by gas penetrating an abutment clearance.SOLUTION: An abutment chamfer 35 extending in the axial direction of a piston ring 21 is provided to the edge between opposite end surfaces 31a, 31b of the piston ring 21 forming an abutment 30 and a slide surface 32 to a cylinder 2, and the abutment chamfer 35 and the opposite end surfaces 31a, 31b are formed so as to be opposite to each other across the abutment 30. Soft resins 40a, 40b are integrally connected to at least a part of one of the abutment chamfer 35 and the opposite end surfaces 31a, 31b continuous to the abutment chamfer 35 that are opposite to each other.</p> |
