PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device that enables prevention of a display failure even when external force is added or an external oscillation occurs.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device according to the present invention comprises: a TFT array substrate 1 that has a plurality of pixels provided in an array; a facing substrate 2 that is arranged so as to face the TFT array substrate 1 over the TFT array substrate 1; a black matrix 3 that is provided on a face on a TFT array substrate 1 side of the facing substrate 2, has an opening part 7 formed at a location corresponding to a pixel in a display area having each pixel provided, and is formed in a stripe pattern in a non-display area around the display area and adjacent to the display area; a colorant layer 4 that is provided on the facing substrate 2 in the opening part 7 and on the black matrix 3, is formed in the stripe pattern in the display area, and is formed with an opening part 9 as a dummy in the non-display area; and a post spacer 8 that is extendedly provided between the colorant layer 4 and the TFT array substrate 1. |
