<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination system that is able to check the lighting state of an illumination device by adding simple equipment to the illumination device or power supply equipment.SOLUTION: An illumination system 1 comprises: an LED luminaire 110; an abnormality detecting part 140 that detects an abnormality of a road illumination device 100; a current limiter 33 that limits conducting current; and a monitoring circuit 20 that monitors an abnormality of the road illumination device 100 by a conducting state of the output-side contact 142 of the abnormality detecting part 140. The monitoring circuit 20 is provided with an upstream-side relay 31 that ON/OFF switches the output-side contact 31a on the basis of a voltage difference between the dimmer line 43 and common line 42 on the upstream side of the current limiter 33; and a downstream-side relay 32 that ON/OFF switches the output-side contact 32a on the basis of a voltage difference between the dimmer line 43 and common line 42 on the downstream side of the current limiter 33. The upstream-side relay 31 and the downstream-side relay 32 are arranged in series such that the upstream-side relay 31 is OFF-controlled when no voltage is applied and the downstream-side relay 32 is ON-controlled when no voltage is applied.</p> |
