<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorene-based diol compound which has a fluorene skeleton and a benzofuran skeleton which has not been known in the skeleton, and a manufacturing method therefor.SOLUTION: It is found that a fluorene-based diol compound having a novel benzofuran skeleton by reacting fluorene and a benzofuran derivative represented by the following formula (2) in a presence of acid. It is further found that the fluorene-based diol compound having the novel benzofuran skeleton has a specific structure where the position of a hydroxyl group is 3-position (meta-position from a coupling point with the fluorene skeleton).</p> |
