PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power suppression request device and a power suppression request method capable of achieving peak cut of the whole power system by setting a power suppression target in accordance with a situation of each consumer.SOLUTION: A power suppression target value is transmitted which is calculated by designating time zone (power suppression target value calculation object time zone) in the future to power consumers. A minimum value, an average value and a maximum value of one or more values abstracted by a fixed rule from power consumption in the power suppression target value calculation object time zone from the previous n-days (n is a natural number) to the previous m-days (m is a natural number and n≥m) is set to the power suppressing target value.
