PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-optic device providing a high-quality display image and of which a first substrate and a second substrate can be sealed to each other while suppressing thermal influence on an electro-optic material and the substrates, to provide a projection display apparatus, and to provide a method for manufacturing the electro-optic device.SOLUTION: An electro-optic device 50 includes a third substrate 60 arranged on the side opposite to a second substrate 52 with respect to a first substrate 51 of an electro-optic panel 40, a fourth substrate 70 arranged on the side opposite to the first substrate 51 with respect to the second substrate 52, and a rim-like frame 80 surrounding the first substrate 51 and the second substrate 52. The frame 80 and the third substrate 60 are bonded by a first bonding material 91 made of an inorganic material. The frame 80 and the fourth substrate 70 are bonded with a second bonding material 92 made of an inorganic material. In a display region 40a, a first translucent material layer 93 is provided between the first substrate 51 and the third substrate 60, and a second translucent material layer 94 is provided between the second substrate 52 and the fourth substrate 70. |
