PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress increase of an amount of light due to an overshoot in a light source in which the overshoot of the amount of light is caused by lighting.SOLUTION: A light source drive device drives a light source that emits light in an amount of light depending on a current value of a drive current. Light source control means starts supplying the drive current to light the light source and changes the current value of the drive current to control the amount of light of the light source. Correction means corrects the current value of the drive current when the light source control means lights the light source, to suppress overshoots 34B-34D of the amounts of light caused by lighting of the light source.
