<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image heating device which performs power supply by bringing power supply members into contact with electrode parts of a heating rotating body and is capable of detecting replacement timing of the heating rotating body due to deterioration of the surface condition of the electrode parts.SOLUTION: An image heating device (16) using a heating rotating body (14) which generates heat by power supply from power supply members (55) which are in contact with its electrode parts (52) comprises: a detection part (110a) for detecting a value of a current flowing through a resistance heating layer (53); a determination part (100) for determining whether the heating rotating body has reached a replacement timing on the basis of a plurality of current values detected by the detection part while the heating rotating body makes one revolution; and a notification part (100) which, if the determination part determines that the heating rotating body has reached a replacement timing, notifies a user of information relating to the replacement timing of the heating rotating body.</p> |
