PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To take owner's privacy into consideration and further to reduce restrictions on an object to be browsed as much as possible.SOLUTION: Property information representing properties of an image is recorded on a recording medium 200 incidentally to the image, and a camera part 90 images a user who browses the image. A system control unit 50 extracts a feature quantity of a subject as a subject feature quantity from the image saved in the recording medium and detects a feature quantity as a user feature quantity from the user image obtained through the imaging by camera part imaging means, and obtains a first retrieved image by retrieving an image having the same subject feature quantity as the user feature quantity from the recording medium and also obtains a second retrieved image by retrieving an image having the same property information with the first retrieved image from the recording medium. The system control unit displays the first retrieved image and the second retrieved image at a display unit so that the retrieved images can be browsed.
