<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate discover of a double feed bundle from a stack at an accumulation part or a carry-out place while suppressing reduction of an operation rate when double feed occurs at a paper feeding part of a gathering device.SOLUTION: Double feed detection means is provided at each paper feeding part. Feeding of new paper is suspended at a time of double feed detection, and only a bundle already being gathered is ejected, and then a stack is carried-out from an accumulation part and the gathering is restarted to look for a double feed bundle from a carry-out stack; or alignment operation is suspended before the double feed bundle is ejected to facilitate discovery of the double feed bundle from an ejection stack; or the stack of the accumulation part is displaced by movement means to suspend so that a subsequent bundle overlaps the stack to discover the double feed bundle from the displaced bundle; or the stack is displaced immediately before the double feed bundle is ejected, and the double feed bundle is ejected on the stack and the displaced stack is returned and only the double feed bundle is protruded to facilitate discovery.</p> |
