<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet processing device capable of bundling an entire sheet to be processed as one booklet even when the number of sheets to be processed exceeds a possible number of sheets to be bound by binding means, while preventing size increase of the device.SOLUTION: In a sheet processing device including loading means for loading a plurality of sheets and binding means 210 for bundling a sheet bundle composed of the plurality of sheets loaded by the loading means, when the number of sheets to be processed exceeds a possible number of sheets to be bound by the binding means 210, a sheet bundle of the sheet bundle to be processed is initially bound with the number of sheets equal to or less than the possible number of sheets to be bound, and then, while displacing a binding position of the binding means 210, a sheet bundle including at least one sheet of the bound sheet bundle precedingly bound and subsequent sheets is sequentially bound with the number of sheets equal to or less than the possible number of sheets to be bound.</p> |
