PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image decoding apparatus capable of performing interpolation even when there is movement other than parallel movement in a loss area generated when decoding due to data loss of encoded information obtained by encoding a moving image, and having excellent subjective image quality.SOLUTION: A decoding part 2 obtains a series of decoded images by decoding encoded information and identifies a loss area. A correspondence part 3 calculates feature points from the decoded images, makes the calculated feature points to correspond between a plurality of decoded images in the loss area and/or its vicinity and calculates a transform coefficient from the corresponding feature point group. An interpolation part 4 interpolates the loss area by applying the calculated transform coefficient to the decoded images. |
