PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize occurrence of cross-talk while exhibiting disparity display performance to the maximum.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus according to the disclosure comprises: an analyzing section that analyzes contrast according to the spatial frequency of an input image; a disparity transition information acquiring section that refers to a database in which the relation between an amount of deterioration of cross-talk and disparity transition is stored so as to correspond to a contrast according to the spatial frequency of each of various images, and acquires the relation between the amount of deterioration of cross-talk and disparity, which corresponds to the contrast according to the spatial frequency of the input image; and a disparity calculating section that calculates a disparity corresponding to a predetermined threshold set to the amount of deterioration of cross-talk, in the acquired relation between the amount of deterioration of cross-talk and the disparity. |
