PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a woody decorative plate manufacturing method capable of improving productivity and surface design although it can suppress the color-deepening in a recess of a surface.SOLUTION: In a method for manufacturing a woody decorative plate 1, a base coating 13 corresponding to the paint, in which a coloring component is extracted from a coloring coating 14 to be subsequently applied, is applied to a surface 11 of a woody plate material 1A which is made of a natural wood 10 and formed with a recess 12 in at least a surface layer part, and the coloring paint is then applied before the base coating is dried and cured.
