<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device and an image processing method capable of selecting a shading correction coefficient suitable for an image.SOLUTION: An image processing device comprises: an estimation unit 124 which applies plural shading estimation coefficients to an image for selecting a shading estimation coefficient suitable for an image; and a correction unit 126 which applies to an image a shading correction coefficient corresponding to the suitable shading estimation coefficient for correcting the shading of the image. In the device, the estimation unit 124 classifies an image into a plural groups on the basis of the distance from the center section of the image, calculates for each group an image characteristic value when the shading estimation coefficient is applied to the image, calculates a total value of the image characteristic value and selects a shading estimation coefficient suitable for the image.</p> |
