PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode mainly comprising a VObased cathode material that has energy density and performance which are remarkably improved, and a magnesium cell including the positive electrode.SOLUTION: There is provided a magnesium electrochemical cell having a positive electrode containing an amorphous material represented by formula [VO][MgX][MO], as an active ingredient. In the formula, M represents an element selected from the group consisting of P, B, Si, Ge and Mo, and X represents O, F, Cl, Br or I. |
