<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side airbag device capable of protecting a passenger more appropriately at a lateral collision of a vehicle.SOLUTION: In a side airbag device provided in a vehicle seat and expanding an airbag between a passenger and a side door, the airbag comprises: a first base fabric constituting a side surface part of one side of left and right sides of the airbag; a second base fabric provided oppositely to the first base fabric, constituting a side surface part of the other side of the left and right sides of the airbag, and forming an expansion chamber between the first base fabric and itself; an upper fabric joined to upper ends of the first base fabric and second base fabric and forming an upper surface part of the airbag; and a first partition fabric provided in the lower part of the upper fabric between the first base fabric and second base fabric and forming a first expansion chamber, which corresponds to a shoulder of the passenger seated on the seat, between the upper fabric and itself. The upper fabric and first partition fabric are formed in a shape in which the widths become narrower toward the front part.</p> |
