PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of coating a coil end of a motor coil that enables more reliable prevention of attachment of powder paint to a powder paint prevention portion.SOLUTION: In a method of coating a coil end 11 of a stator coil 1, the coil end 11 is immersed in powder paint X while a coil terminal 12 located in the vicinity of the coil end 11 is masked by a masking member 300, and the masking member 300 is a cap-like member having an opening 301 at an upper part into which the coil terminal 12 can be inserted and has a width narrowed toward a lower part.
