<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless LAN access point and a communication area setting method that can limit a communication area, secure sufficient communication quality in the communication area, and effectively use system resources.SOLUTION: A wireless LAN access point includes: a transmitting unit for transmitting a packet to a slave unit having a wireless LAN communication function; a receiving unit for receiving a response to the packet from the slave unit; and a setting unit for setting the lower limit of a communication rate in communication with the slave unit according to the response from the slave unit received by the receiving unit.</p> |
