<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatically actuated ink jet printhead capable of stable operation.SOLUTION: In a printhead 10 including a venting system and an actuator array, each actuator 15 includes an actuator air chamber 20. The venting system includes an air path that vents each actuator air chamber 20 to the atmosphere. The printhead 10 further includes a dryer 50, 52 configured to remove moisture from air within the air path. The dryer 50, 52 includes a desiccant 50, a resistive heater 52, or both thereof.</p> |
