The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method to achieve timely-programmed open/close cycle of a perforation channel in a fresh produce container and package. More specifically, the present invention relates to an apparatus and method to mount a perforation channel made with a circular arc-shaped groove on a fresh produce container or a package made from plastic or metal, and to adjust a degree of opening/closing of a perforation channel in accordance to a time cycle by rotating an attached rotor. The present invention is provided to control the degree of ventilation in a time-dependent means by adjusting the size and thickness (height of a section) of the circular arc-shaped perforation channel, the area ratio between a fixing unit perforation channel and a rotor perforation unit, rotation cycle of the rotor, etc. as design variables; and to maintain a freshness of the agricultural products at low costs during distribution and storage of agricultural products and provide an eco-friendly container which can be reused by properly allowing to select the design variables in accordance to the breathing speed of the contained agricultural products.
